Snickers Bars

I have so many peanut and chocolate recipes on my page, and for a good reason. It is honestly such a good combo, I don't know if I could live without it. ok, that is a bit dramatic, but if you were to choose one of my recipes to make, this one is super easy and extremely delicious!

Ingredients
    Caramel
  • 200 grams peanut butter
  • 250 grams pitted soft dates (soak in boiling water for 10 minutes if they are firm)
  • 1 tablespoon agave (sub another liquid sweetener)
  • Water to blend
  • Base
  • 200 grams of the caramel we made previously
  • 120 grams oats
  • 1 pinch salt
  • Chocolate Top
  • 1 1/2 tablespoon cocoa powder
  • 1 1/2 tablespoon coconut oil
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup (sub another liquid sweetener)
  • Chopped peanuts
Instructions
    Caramel
  1. Blend the peanut butter, dates and agave until a thick caramel forms in a food processor or high spreed blender. Add water if necessary

  2. Base
  3. Remove 250 grams of the caramel from the blender {you should be left with around 200 grams to make the base, no need to measure} and add the oats to the rest of the caramel and blend until you get a dough

  4. Press the dough into a lined dish and add the caramel you removed from the blender on top and freeze

  5. Chocolate Top
  6. Melt together the coconut oil, cacao and maple syrup until smooth

  7. Remove your container from the freezer and cut the slab into bars. Pour the chocolate sauce over the top and sprinkle with chopped peanuts

Note

These will stay good for a long time in the freezer, or for about 1-2 weeks in the fridge
